The Status Foe Privacy Policy

The Short

If only we could keep things simple but this world is complex, so feel free to take a nap as you read through the rest of these legal mumbo jumbo pages.

We send emails to the people who voluntarily sign up for our newsletter/email notifications.  We only send them if you sign up and you can unsubscribe anytime you want.  There’s always a link at the bottom of every email to do so…just keep scrolling down and click on Unsubscribe.

We ask for some basic information (like your name and email) when you choose to leave a comment here on our website.

We don’t sit around at night staring at your email and name, then sell it to pimply hackers who eat way too many cheesy-fingered chips. Gross. I have absolutely ZERO interest in collecting your data, let alone giving it or selling it to other people – I have waaay too much of the world to explore before I waste my time on that. The only thing I keep track of is your name and your email address. That’s it and no one else will ever see that information.

If at any time you want me to remove your information, I will be happy to do so. Just email me at

Do me a favor and when you have insomnia, come to this page of my website and it will put you in a deep sleep.

The Long

Email tracking. Some emails that we send you have no tracking in at all, for example personal correspondence or emails with invoices attached. Other emails we send we put in tracking so that we can tell how much traffic those emails send to our site and we can track, at an individual level, whether the user has opened and clicked on the email. We rarely use the latter information at a personal level, rather we use it to understand open and click rates on our emails to try and improve them. Sometimes we do use the personal information e.g. to re-email people who didn’t click the first time. If you want to be sure that none of your email activity is tracked then you should unsubscribe from the The Status Foe newsletter. We use MailChimp to send you these emails, which we trust as a leading email responder in the online space. You can reference their Privacy Policy here:

How to Opt Out Of Subscriptions: You may change or opt out of existing subscriptions by clicking on the subscription tools at the bottom of any subscription e-mail. You can even google “how to modify my cookies”. If at any time you want me to remove your information, I will be happy to do so. Just email me at-
