Bridging the gap between
mental health + nature
There are two types of tired: one that requires sleep and the other requires peace.
I’m here to talk about peace.
I don’t think I have met anyone who isn’t dealing with anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and exhaustion right now. We’ve all been through a rough couple of years with the pandemic and global changes, not to mention the stresses of life in general. The issue is most of us haven’t learned how to cope with anxiety and stress, so we end up looking for ease in a bottle of wine, escaping through Netflix, or eating for comfort as a way to take the edge off. Trust me, I’ve been there worn the t-shirt and have my name on the wall. I used to be the queen of escapism.
But there is another way and I teach people how to cope using healthier techniques to manage their stress and anxiety through nature and mindfulness. The key is exploring different ‘Tools for your Inner Toolkit’ so that when life hits you over the head you have the awareness of what you are going through and a plan you can follow through on to help you ease through it. So if you are looking for ways to bring in more peace, ease, calm, and most importantly healing in your modern day life, then you are in the right place.
Nature has been one of the most impactful partners I have ever had on my healing journey with my mental health. That is why I have dedicated myself to guiding nature therapy walks/forest bathing/shinrin yoku in the gorgeous Ouray, Colorado area. By bridging together the gap between mental health and nature, we can all benefit from the mental and physical health benefits of spending intentional time in nature.
